Why do I need Safe +?

Because this way you will have all your confidential data save, updated and always at hand.


Can I reorder my categories and items?

Yes, click on the A→Z button to sort your categories or items alphabetically. You can also reorder categories and items manually with drag & drop.


Is it possible to change the icon, name and data once I have created the categories and items?

Yes, just double click the category for editing. If you want to edit an item, select it and click on the Edit button. You will be now able to change the icon and data.


Can I backup the content of Safe +?

You can create a backup of your data in the File menu using the menu command Backup Safe +… This file will be encrypted and can also be used to transfer your data to iOS devices or other Macs.


Can I synchronize Safe + across devices?

You can use the backup feature included in Safe + to transfer your data across your iOS devices and your Macs.
Using our device synchronization, you can easily synchronize your devices via Wi-Fi. Documentation about device synchronization is available here.


Can I access my login credentials directly from Safari?

Yes, using the Safe + Safari Extension you can directly access your login credentials stored in Safe +! Documentation for the Safari Extension is available here.


How can I delete a category or an item?

The Edit menu contains a command for deleting the selected category or item.


Can I print my items?

Yes, select the item you want to print and press cmd-P.


Can I recover the password of my Safe + in case of loss?

No you can´t. Take good care of your master password. If you lose it, you will not be able to access your data.


What do I have to do to use Safe + again if I forget my password?

If you forgot your password you will have to delete your data. Open the Terminal and type the following command:
rm -rfv ~/Library/Group\ Containers/4S2YKKT76C.group.de.safe-app.MacOSSafe
Afterwards press the enter key on your keyboard. You can now close the Terminal and set a new password.
