Importing Multiple Images at Once

Select the Category in which the Images should be imported.
Then choose Images… from the File / Import menu and select the desired Images.

Creating an Item with an Image

When you create a new Item, you can use the Image Item icon to create an Item for an Image.
You can also add Image Fields to any Item.
In Edit mode you will see an import button and (if there is already an Image stored) an export button.

Selecting an Image opens a new window. This window can be resized and enables full screen presentation of the Image.
If there are further Images in the Category, navigation buttons will show up allowing to navigate through all Images in the Category.
